Temporary Assistance to Needy Families
The Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program is administered by the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration.
TANF replaced the AFDC (Aid to Families with Dependent Children) program which was formerly known as welfare.
TANF is a program that provides cash assistance and supportive services to assist the family, helping them achieve economic self-sufficiency.
If you have children under the age of eighteen, learn more about the program and to see if you qualify.
