Going Green
Randolph County is fast becoming one of the greenest counties in the state on a per-capita basis.
Windmills that generate electricity are popping up all over the county. The reason? Randolph County has the highest average elevation of any county in Indiana.
In addition, we're on the leading edge in the alternative fuels business with Productive Concepts in Union City leading the charge in conversions of trucks and busses to natural gas, propane, and hybrid technologies.
Finally, we have Cardinal Ethanol producing train car loads of ethanol as a gasoline additive and for E85 fuel.
